Sadie my sweet Sheltie stayed up late with me working on a sewing project. She’ll be 1 at the end of the month.

Friday we attended the farm show in Minot, ND.  We had supper at Kroll’s Diner before we left town.  Our boys shared one of those rare sentimental moments.

Max & Brett shared a bowl of leftover chili for supper.  Some days they get along so good! This has been an exceptional week for them!

Sunday we went to pickup our old car for a good washing.  We have it up for sale this week.  It’s a 1964 98 Oldsmobile with all the electric gadgets.  Pretty high tech for then! We bought it last year from my husbands’ cousin but never seem to have time to drive it.  The boys love riding in it!

The sunset at the Devils Lake, ND airport while we were picking up the plane from its annual.  Sometimes it’s hard to pick just one.  I had to throw in a plane pic after its annual with the shiny prop.  It won’t last long!

I cut open this tomato and found sprouts while making homemade tomato soup.  I’ve had sprouted peppers & squash, but never a tomato!  I should’ve planted it!

Minot KMOT Ag Expo

We attended the KMOT Ag Expo in Minot, ND on Friday.  The boys had a blast checking out all the new equipment.  Brett had to ‘drive’ all the combines. We walked around the arena visiting with various vendors.  We looked at the new gadgets, tools, supplies and equipment.  It’s amazing to see all the new technology available.

This is the one we like. The new John Deere combine.  John Deere has a very nice cab design.

Crock-pot Beef Stew

The sun-dogs were out in full force!

I have a heart-warming stew recipe for this cold winter day. It’s -8°F here today!  Brrr! This is one of our favorite recipes for the field.  It works great to throw together in the morning for supper or even at noon to have ready for supper.  It’s also thick enough to serve on a plate. The guys really enjoy it on a cold harvest evening.
